Aluminium futures were trading higher during the afternoon trade in the domestic market on Tuesday as speculators built up fresh positions amid pick-up in demand in the spot market. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders on the back of uptick in demand from consuming industries in the physical market supported aluminium prices in futures trade.
At the MCX, aluminium futures for July 2017 contract is trading at Rs 122.50 per kg, up by 0.45 per cent, after opening at Rs 122.20, against a previous close of Rs 121.95. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 122.50 (at 13:08 hours).
